Whether you are brand new to the chamber profession, taking on a new role within your organization or serving as a volunteer leader, the New Chamber Professional Boot Camp is designed to give you practical tools, proven strategies and a stronger understanding of successful chamber operations.

This two-day, interactive program is ideal for chamber professionals at every level, as well as board chairs, board members and other volunteer leaders who want to better understand how an effective chamber operates and grows.

Led by experienced chamber professionals, Boot Camp provides an opportunity to learn what works, ask the questions you may not know who to ask and connect with peers who understand the opportunities and challenges of chamber work.

Topics include:

Chamber Fundamentals & Operations – Understanding the chamber business model, organizational structure and the fundamentals of running an effective organization.
Membership Recruitment & Retention – Building a strong membership strategy, communicating value and creating relationships that keep members engaged.
Using Social Media to Drive Membership – Going beyond likes and followers to use social media strategically to demonstrate chamber value, engage businesses and support membership recruitment and retention.
Board Governance & Volunteer Leadership – Building a productive relationship between chamber staff and volunteer leaders while establishing clear roles and expectations.
Programming & Events – Developing programs and events that deliver value to members while supporting the chamber's mission and revenue goals.
Non-Dues Revenue & Sponsorships – Identifying opportunities to generate revenue beyond membership dues and build stronger sponsor partnerships.
Communications & Community Engagement – Telling your chamber's story, communicating its impact and positioning the organization as a trusted community resource.
Advocacy & the Chamber's Role – Understanding how chambers can effectively represent the business community and engage on issues that matter to their members.

Throughout the program, attendees are encouraged to bring their questions, challenges and ideas. You'll receive practical guidance from professionals with proven experience in chamber operations while learning from fellow chamber professionals from across Arkansas.
